2025 Ford Explorer: Major Refresh, Enhanced Tech, and Trim Changes Unveiled

Ford introduces the 2025 Explorer, marking the generation’s first significant refresh with notable changes to exterior design, advanced technological upgrades, and revised trim options. Externally, the 2025 Explorer showcases a larger grille, redesigned LED headlights, and enhanced air curtains in the front bumper. The rear liftgate boasts sharp LED taillights and a prominent “Explorer” badge. Powertrain options remain familiar, with refined versions of the 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder and 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engines, delivering impressive performance figures.

Notable interior enhancements include a unified dashboard layout with a 13.2-inch wide-format touchscreen infotainment system, featuring wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and Google Built-In software. Paired with a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, the “Ford Digital Experience” provides seamless connectivity and navigation options. Blue Cruise, Ford’s latest autonomous driving technology, is standard on select trims, offering advanced lane-keeping assistance and lane-changing capabilities.

The ST variant receives additional appearance add-ons and exclusive racing school opportunities. With ordering now available, the 2025 Explorer starts at $41,220, boasting increased standard equipment and simplified option packages. Expectations for dealership arrivals are set for the second quarter of this year, promising an elevated driving experience for SUV enthusiasts.
