The price adjustment helps cushion the financial impact of the lost government incentive on buyers. The starting price for the 2026 Ioniq 5 is now $39,800, plus a $1,600 destination fee, down from $49,600 for the 2025 model. The 2026 Ioniq 5 Limited is nearly $10,000 cheaper than its predecessor, with a new starting price of $48,975.
According to Hyundai, this price revision is part of a broader strategy to maintain the Ioniq 5’s competitiveness in the increasingly crowded EV market while supporting higher U.S. production volumes.
