Hyundai is recalling more than 568,580 Palisade SUVs over concerns with potentially defective seatbelt fasteners. This recall applies to Palisade models from the 2020 through 2025 model years.
According to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) records, approximately 1 percent of the affected vehicles have the issue. The seatbelt fasteners and latches on the driver’s seat, front passenger seat, and second-row window seats could fail to secure occupants properly, heightening the risk of injury in a collision.

Drivers might notice the problem if the seatbelt produces a weaker-than-usual clicking sound when fastened. The Palisade also provides visual and audible alerts if the belt unfastens unexpectedly.
To ensure safety, owners should push the belt firmly into the buckle until it clicks securely. If your vehicle is part of this recall, visit your nearest Hyundai dealership for a free inspection and replacement of the seatbelt buckle.
Hyundai will mail notification letters to affected owners by November 10, 2025. You can verify if your SUV is included by entering your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the NHTSA website or by calling Hyundai customer service at 1-855-371-9460.
