Gran Turismo 7’s Power Pack DLC Announced

It’s been over three years since the latest Gran Turismo release on PlayStation 5, and Polyphony Digital has been consistently delivering updates and downloadable content. Now, the studio is preparing to launch one of its most significant updates yet, and it comes with a price tag.

Power Pack DLC

The Power Pack DLC is set to launch on December 4, 2025, and brings several new features to the game. These include:

  • 50 new races
  • 24-hour endurance races
  • The latest version of the game’s advanced AI racers, Gran Turismo Sophy 3.0 (exclusive to DLC)

Players will be able to participate in full race seasons, complete with practice and qualifying sessions before the main event. The races will be spread across six themes inspired by countries and car culture around the world, including Europe, Historic Cars, and the Nürburgring.

Additional Features

The Power Pack DLC also includes 5 million in-game credits, which would cost over $40 to acquire as an add-on in real-world money. Although Polyphony Digital hasn’t announced the content pack’s pricing, it’s likely to be expensive given the upgraded AI and pre-race modes.

Free Spec III Update

In addition to the Power Pack DLC, the game will also receive a free Spec III update in December. This update includes:

  • Two new tracks: Yas Marina Circuit and Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve
  • Eight new cars
  • A new opening movie
  • Dunlop tires
  • More

Gran Turismo 7 Sales and History

Gran Turismo 7 has sold over 100 million copies as of September. The first game in the franchise was released in 1997 for the original PlayStation, and since then, Polyphony Digital has launched several installments, including Gran Turismo Sport in 2017.

The studio also released a free-to-play version called My First Gran Turismo last year, designed to broaden the game’s appeal and attract new players.
