Tesla Lease Deals: Massive Price Hikes Coming After December
Tesla is warning buyers that its aggressive year-end lease deals—some offering monthly payments as low as $299—will expire imminently. The automaker plans significant price increases starting December 26, with lease payments skyrocketing by up to 67% in some cases.
Upcoming Price Increases (Effective Dec. 26)
Model 3
- Premium RWD: $499/month (+67%, up from $299), $3,000 down
- Premium AWD: $549/month (+22%, up from $449)
- Performance: $749/month (+7%, up from $699)
Model Y
- Premium RWD: $549/month (+22%, up from $449)
- Premium AWD: $649/month (+35%, up from $479)
Cybertruck
- AWD: $849/month (+16%, up from $729)
Down payments for most models will also double to $3,000, except the Cybertruck ($5,000)
Why the Rush?
Tesla is subsidizing these deals to boost Q4 deliveries, but the pricing is unsustainable. The looming December 31 delivery deadline and loss of federal tax credit eligibility have forced dramatic discounts—and an equally dramatic reversal.
