One of the initial independent range tests for the Tesla Cybertruck reveals a highway range of 254 miles, falling significantly short of the EPA estimate of 320 miles. Despite the discrepancy, it’s important to note that the test was conducted in cold conditions and involved highway driving only. The Cybertruck has faced criticism for not achieving the promised range without an additional “range extender” battery system, which comes at an extra cost and occupies space in the truck bed. As independent testing continues, a clearer picture of the electric pickup’s real-world range will emerge.

The independent test in the video was done with temperatures around 46 degrees Fahrenheit (8 degrees Celsius).
Quite disappointing range even at a measly 46F. Hopefully one of the early adopters will be able to provide range test figures in colder weather so owners know what to expect if driving in snowy conditions.
