Hyundai Seeks Innovation in EV Battery Tech with Pressurized All-Solid-State System Patent

Posted on January 5, 2024January 5, 2024 by thecruisectrlr

Hyundai is exploring advancements in electric vehicle (EV) battery technology with a recently filed patent for a pressurized all-solid-state battery system in the United States. The patent, published on December 28, 2023, outlines Hyundai’s pursuit of enhanced battery stability and energy density. The proposed all-solid-state battery system employs a pressurizing device to maintain constant pressure in each cell during charging and discharging, addressing challenges associated with solid-state batteries. By applying pressure, Hyundai aims to overcome limitations and contribute to the development of lighter, safer, and more efficient EV batteries with improved performance and longevity.
