Toyota’s Upcoming Announcements

Toyota is set to make several announcements across its brands, including GR, Crown, and Daihatsu, on an upcoming Monday in Japan. A teaser website has been launched, hinting at the news to come.

The Teaser Website

The website features a cryptic message that reads: “The sign at Fuji Speedway has changed. On the left is the 2000GT. Next to it is the LFA. And next to that…?” This message is likely a reference to a new sports car, sparking speculation among enthusiasts.

Livestream and Speculation

The announcement will be livestreamed on the Toyota Times YouTube channel. Given recent rumors of a revived sports car, it’s likely that the company will unveil something related to this. One possibility is the Toyota GR GT3 race car, which is expected to make its racing debut at the 2026 Daytona 24 Hours.

GR GT3 and Lexus LFR

The GR GT3 is rumored to arrive before the road-going Lexus equivalent. Prototype testing has revealed a hybrid powertrain, likely featuring a V-8 engine paired with a battery pack. Toyota may give us a glimpse of this new sports car on Monday.

Other Possible Announcements

While the GR GT3 and Lexus LFR are likely candidates for announcement, Toyota may have other plans. The company has mentioned its GR, Daihatsu, and Crown brands, leaving room for other surprises.
