Maserati is expanding its electric vehicle lineup with the introduction of the GranCabrio Folgore, a convertible sibling to the GranTurismo Folgore. Scheduled to debut as a 2025 model in the U.S., this luxury electric convertible is poised to redefine the EV market niche with its blend of performance and sophistication.

With a price tag exceeding $200,000, the GranCabrio Folgore is set to become the premier luxury electric convertible in the U.S. market. It marks a significant milestone as the first electric convertible offered since the discontinuation of models like the Smart Fortwo Electric Drive Cabriolet and Tesla Roadster.

Equipped with a soft top that opens in just 14 seconds, the GranCabrio Folgore boasts an elegant design and advanced features. Its interior is adorned with premium leather and showcases a sophisticated infotainment system with gesture controls. Additionally, standard neck warmers ensure comfort during top-down driving in various weather conditions.

Powered by three electric motors delivering a combined output of over 1,200 hp, the GranCabrio Folgore offers exhilarating performance, achieving 0-62 mph in just 2.8 seconds. A spacious trunk and advanced battery technology further enhance its practicality and driving range, estimated at around 250 miles on a single charge.

With plans to electrify its entire model lineup by 2025, Maserati is making significant strides in embracing EV technology and meeting regulatory requirements. The GranCabrio Folgore represents a fusion of luxury and electrification, setting a new standard for electric convertibles in the automotive industry.
