A new iteration of the Tesla Model 3 Performance, possibly branded as a ‘Ludicrous’ edition, has been sighted undergoing filming for what seems to be a promotional video.
Tesla enthusiasts have been eagerly anticipating the potential release of a new Model 3 Performance in recent months. Since the introduction of the updated Model 3 design last year, Tesla had omitted the Performance variant from its lineup, offering only the Standard Range and Long Range Dual Motor versions.
Despite sightings of camouflaged Model 3 Performance test vehicles in recent months, identification was confirmed by the presence of larger brake calipers. More recently, prototypes were observed featuring new sport seats.
The latest spotting occurred in Valencia, Spain, revealing an uncamouflaged Model 3 Performance during what seems to be a promotional video shoot. Notably, this version bears a ‘Ludicrous’ badge, reminiscent of the high-performance branding previously associated with Model S vehicles.
While past iterations of the Model 3 Performance showcased minimal physical distinctions from other trims, this upcoming version appears to boast significant hardware upgrades. Changes include a distinct front bumper, updated seats, new wheels, a spoiler, and potentially enhanced performance capabilities.
Tesla’s timeline for the release of the new Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous refresh remains uncertain. However, the commencement of promotional video production suggests an imminent launch.
