Ram has resurrected the 2027 Ram 1500 TRX, featuring a supercharged V8 engine that positions it as the world’s fastest and most powerful production petrol pick-up truck. The revival also signals potential reintroduction to Australian markets.

Building on the V8 resurgence across North American Ram 1500 models, the TRX boasts a 6.2L supercharged V8 generating 776hp and 922Nm – outperforming the Ford F-150 Raptor R in both metrics. Ram claims blistering acceleration with a 0-60mph (0-97km/h) time of 3.5 seconds.
The performance pickup maintains its eight-speed automatic transmission and full-time 4WD system, now overseen by Stellantis’ revived SRT performance division. TRX-specific suspension and steering systems enhance its dynamic capabilities.

Engineered for extreme off-road performance, the 2027 TRX features:
- Bilstein Black Hawk e2 adaptive dampers
- Forged aluminum suspension components
- 35-inch tires on beadlock-capable wheels
- Dana 60 rear axle with electronic locking differential
- 284mm ground clearance with 355mm axle travel
Advanced terrain management systems provide real-time adjustments for varying conditions.
