Subaru’s Solterra EV is making strides in the electric vehicle market with the 2024 model receiving notable updates. Despite a rocky start, the Solterra saw a significant increase in sales, reaching up to 8,872 units by the end of 2023.
For the 2024 model year, Subaru is maintaining competitive pricing, with the base model starting at $46,340, inclusive of delivery charges. The Solterra features three trim levels, offering a diverse range of options for customers.
Improvements to the Solterra’s battery charging system allow for faster charging times, reducing the time to charge from 10% to 80% to just 35 minutes. Additionally, enhancements to the interior include a redesigned steering wheel and updated touchscreens.
Subaru’s advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), EyeSight, receives upgrades, enabling semi-autonomous driving capabilities such as lane-keeping and lane-changing assistance. With safety features like Front Cross Traffic Alert and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, the Solterra prioritizes driver confidence.
While the Solterra’s pricing strategy excludes it from federal tax credits, Subaru remains competitive with its feature-rich offerings. Whether opting for the Premium, Limited, or Touring trim, the Solterra presents a compelling choice in the growing EV market.
