Tesla Launches Upgraded Model 3 Highland with Extended Range and Enhanced Features in North America

Tesla has officially introduced the upgraded Model 3, widely recognized as the Model 3 Highland, in North America. This latest iteration, now available for order in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico, brings significant enhancements over its predecessor.

Key Features and Upgrades:

  1. Extended Range: The Model 3 Highland boasts an impressive range of up to 341 miles per charge, addressing one of the critical aspects of electric vehicle performance.
  2. Aerodynamic Exterior: Tesla has optimized the exterior for maximum aerodynamics, contributing to improved efficiency and overall performance.
  3. New Colors and Wheels: The Model 3 Highland introduces two new color options—Stealth Gray and Ultra Red. Additionally, the vehicle comes with new wheels designed for enhanced efficiency.
  4. Premium Interior: Tesla has revamped the interior with a wraparound styling that includes customizable ambient lighting. The cabin features premium materials, ventilated seats, wireless charging pads, an 8″ rear display, and a top-notch sound system.
  5. Model Variants: The Model 3 Highland is currently available in two variants: the base Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) version and the Long Range Dual Motor All Wheel Drive (AWD) variant.

Model Variants and Pricing:

  • Base RWD: Priced at $38,990, with 272 miles of EPA estimated range, a top speed of 125 mph, and a 0-60 mph time of 5.8 seconds.
  • Long Range Dual Motor AWD: Priced at $45,990, featuring an extended range of 341 miles per charge, a top speed of 125 mph, and a 0-60 mph time of 4.2 seconds.

Options and Customization:

  • Customers can choose from various paint options, including Pearl White Multicoat, Blue Multicoat, Solid Black (with associated costs), and Ultra Red (a $2,000 option).
  • Wheel options include 18″ Photon Wheels (standard) and 19″ Nova Wheels ($1,500).
  • Interior customization offers Black as standard, while the Black and White interior comes at an additional $1,000.

Autopilot and Full Self Driving (FSD) Options:

  • Basic Autopilot is included as standard, with an option to add Enhanced Autopilot for $6,000.
  • Full Self Driving (FSD) Capability, featuring Autosteer on City Streets and Traffic Light and Stop Sign Control, is available as a $12,000 option.

Delivery Estimates:

  • As of the latest information, Model 3 Highland orders are expected to be delivered between January to February 2024.
