Tesla has reinstated its coveted lifetime Supercharging offer, allowing owners to transfer the benefit to new Model S, 3, X, or Y vehicles if they take delivery by March 31, 2024. Originally introduced for early Model S and X owners, the perk enables unlimited free Supercharging access, incentivizing upgrades to newer Tesla models.
The recent announcement marks the return of a familiar promotion, with Tesla intermittently offering transfers of the lifetime Supercharging perk over the years. Last year, the option was briefly available for owners who took delivery by December 31, before being reintroduced with the extended 2024 deadline.
The ability to transfer lifetime Supercharging encourages vehicle upgrades, as owners can enjoy the benefit of free Supercharging on their new Tesla, rather than solely on their existing models. Notably, the offer does not apply to home charging, where owners are billed at regular electricity rates.
In addition to the lifetime Supercharging offer, Tesla has also reopened the opportunity for a one-time transfer of its Full Self-Driving (FSD) beta software. This perk, previously available to owners who took delivery before September 30, is now extended to those who receive their vehicles by March 31.
Tesla’s move to revive these incentives reflects its ongoing efforts to enhance customer experience and drive sales in the competitive electric vehicle market.
