The Toyota Tacoma continues its reign as America’s favorite mid-size pickup, smashing previous sales records in 2025 – more than three decades after its US debut. Toyota reported unprecedented annual sales figures that cement the Tacoma’s market dominance.
With a staggering 274,638 units sold in 2025, Tacoma sales surged 42.4% year-over-year, including over 25,000 units moved in December alone. This performance surpasses the previous record set in 2021 (252,490 units) by a significant margin.

Lexus celebrated record sales in 2025 (370,260 units, +7.1%), led by:
- RX: 113,000+ units
- NX: 77,000 units
- TX: 57,346 units
- ES: 39,936 units
Performance models saw declines as the brand transitions:
- RC: -27.2%
- LC: -12.2%
