Ferrari’s First Electric Supercar Prototype Spotted in Testing

Ferrari has kicked off testing for what looks like the near-final prototype of its inaugural all-electric supercar, just ahead of the planned reveal. The initial details are slated for unveiling on October 8, as announced by CEO Benedetto Vigna and Chairman John Elkann.

Recent spy photos capture a prototype shrouded in heavy camouflage, signaling a shift from Maserati-derived test mules to Ferrari’s authentic EV architecture. The rollout is structured in three stages: the platform and powertrain debut in October 2024, followed by the interior and exterior reveals in early 2026, with the complete model launch targeted for spring 2026.

Vigna stressed that Ferrari’s debut zero-emissions vehicle will be crafted “the right way,” preserving the brand’s signature thrill and performance heritage. The car is projected to match the dimensions of the Purosangue SUV but with enhanced aerodynamics. Rear doors hint at a four-seat configuration, while a roof spoiler and sculpted wheel arches contribute to its aggressive stance—though some elements could be intentional misdirection.

Speculation suggests a base price hovering around $500,000, with initial customer deliveries expected in late 2026. This electric milestone represents a crucial evolution for Ferrari, demonstrating that electrification can capture the enduring spirit of the Prancing Horse.
